The Slayer is the first full wood core construction from the Byerly Squad. Utilizing their exclusive Rocker Lock construction the Slayer is unlike any other word core option on the market. This new technology ensures that the Slayer will maintain its rocker line set after set. SHAPED BY BUTCH: Scott Bouchard entered the shaping scene as an innovator with a background rooted in surf. His unique take on the 3-Stage Rocker helped riders like Byerly and JD get more pop off the wake when wakes were small.

His passion for sourcing new materials and creating new construction methods has produced some of Hyperlite's bestselling models. URETHANE SIDEWALLS Molded urethane flexes seamlessly with a wakeboard and bonds to top and base laminates for a fully bonded construction.

The problem was always the loss the of the rocker line after limited use. Wood cores always want to revert back to the flat position they are cut from because of their organic make-up.

Rocker Lock incorporates small serrations on the top of the core that allow it to flex into place in the molding process. These voids fill with resin locking the rocker line of the board. This new construction allows a rider to experience the lively feel of a wood core without loosing the pop and speed the rocker provides a shape.
