Soft shackles may be commonly used as a snap shackle, knot or D-shackle replacement on halyards and sheets, but can be used for a range of handy tasks around the boat. Soft shackles require no tools to attach and are easy to undo, even after being highly loaded.

Soft shackles have very high working loads at a fraction of the weight and cost of an equivalent SWL stainless steel fitting. Soft Shackles may be used for block attachment, halyard attachment, sheet attachment, hanks, and so forth - any purpose where a knot or a heavy metal fitting is used can be replaced with an appropriately sized soft shackle. Wet Tech Rigging's Type 2 covered model takes Soft Shackles to another level of strength, longevity, reliability and performance - covered tip to toe in 52-carrier Dyneema Chafe sleeving for ultimate abrasion and UV resistance. Don't be fooled by similar UHMWPE products claiming to be Dyneema construction - they're simply not.
